CP: Introductory Activity for SSSD’s Programmes and Services - Beit Al Yasmine Community Center - Tartous.

"My simple ideas will become a great initiative" This is what one of the adolescents of the Children's Club expressed during a session carried out by the CP Team at Beit Al Yasmin Community Center, SSSD in cooperation with the UNHCR.

 As part of an activity that introducing SSSD programs and services, where the club’s team showed interest in Youth and community initiatives, presented some ideas and proposals to support their community and contribute to solving the problems within it.

 

CP: Awareness Sessions and Activities for Children - Beit Al Yasmine Community Center – Tartous

Based on the importance of the child's role in contributing to support his community and peers, in creating visions and ideas that help in solving their problems.

Within the framework of follow-up training for the Children's Club, the CP team at Beit Al Yasmine Community Center in cooperation with UNHCR, trained the club members on how to educate their peers about the dangers prevalent within their school and the surrounding environment Including (bullying - school dropout - verbal and physical abuse - employment)

After conducting a number of awareness sessions and related activities, during the activity, the club members were divided into several groups, and each group selected its educational theme and delivered the information in a way that suits it (play - true story - drawing).

Discrimination between male and female should be stop, because we have the same rights. At that time, we will limit the spread of violence significantly.”

This what one of the adolescent girls expressed during her attendance of a special session within the GBV campaign, carried out by the Syrian Society for Social Development team at Ward Jury Center in Baniyas, in cooperation with the UNHCR.

The session included raising awareness for adolescents (males - females) through a photo exhibition of the forms of GBV and its negative effects, and performing a puppet theater in an interactive manner, introducing through it the difference between male and female according to gender and sex.

After that, the adolescents classified the forms, causes and effects of existing GBV, they also presented solutions to reduce violence and emphasized the need to spread awareness and respect for human rights, and the need to find laws that support women and girls achieving equality between men and women, noting that all preventive measures for Coronavirus were taken into consideration during the session.
