Sterilization Campaign - The offices of the Examinations Department and the Directorate of Education - hama

In order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, Syrian Society for Social Development team in Hama participated in sterilizing the offices of the Examinations Department and the Directorate of Education in Hama Governorate. In addition to distributing means of prevention and personal protection (gloves and masks) to the employees in these places.

Along with the precautionary measures to tackle Coronavirus, a team from the Syrian Society for Social Development in cooperation with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees UNHCR, under the direction of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Idlib, carried out a sterilization campaign in the municipality of Sinjar that included (Sinjar bread oven, Civil Registry, Sinjar Municipality Building).

Sterilization Campaign - Institute of Special Education for the Hearing Impaired -Hama

In continuation of the precautionary measures to address Coronavirus, the Syrian Society for Social Development team directed by the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Hama, conducted cleaning, deport debris and equip the rooms with furniture for three days at the Institute of Special Education for the Hearing Impaired in the suburb of Al-Shahid Basil al-Assad, which was decided to be adopted as an isolation center for suspected cases of Coronavirus.

"Health Kits Distribution and Spreading health awareness among women" - Qomhane -Hama

In response to limiting the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) protectingeverybody, ensuring their safety and countering this virus, the Syrian Society for Social Development distributed health kits to groups of women and Old-But-Gold "Dahab Ateq" in Sada community center (Aqrab) and Qamana center (northern Hama countryside) Within the gender-based violence program.

Aimedstrengthening preventive measures and spreading health awareness among women, the kits included sterilization and personal hygiene materials and educational brochures on how to use sterile materials to counter the threat of the virus.

sterilized the centers and trained the volunteers to take the necessary measures during the distribution process to preserve their safety and the beneficiaries as well. As the volunteers conducted a temperature measure for themselves, and avoided gatherings out of our concern for their safety, the distribution was in the Qamhana Center in the presence of the Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Hama Governorate.

"The health kit was on time, because it is difficult to secure it as some materials are not available."
"Antiseptics and sterilizers are essential in every home, and they will protect us."
"We were alerted to not underestimating the rise in our body temperature, and it is necessary to periodically check on our health."

Sterilization Campaign at the Shelters in Souran, Taibat Imam, and Maardis - Hama

Starting from the role of the Syrian Society for Social Development team in Hama to maintain community protection, the team continued sterilization campaigns as methods used to maintain public safety as it included the northern countryside shelter centers of the governorate (Souran - Taibat Imam - Maardis).In addition to sterilization and disinfection of public places such as the main bus stops.

Sterilization Campaign for all Offices of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, and The Institute for Mental Disabilities - Hama

Syrian Association for Social Development team in Hama Governorate contributed in a sterilization campaign to prevent the spread of the Corona pandemic, which included all offices of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor from inside and out and its corridors, in order to ensure the safety of workers in it.

The sterilization campaign included the headquarters of the rural industries units (Hayaleen - Ouj - Masyaf - Deir Al-Khalib) attached to the Directorate.In addition to the Institute for Mental Disabilities and the offices of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Idlib and Raqqa in Hama.

Awareness Raising Sessions about COVID-19, Shathah, Al Ghab Plain, Hama

The Syrian Society for Social Development persistently follows up on COVID-19 circulations issued by the Syrian Ministry of Health and plays an active role in raising the awareness level among the most vulnerable groups of the community. Drawing on that, Hama team conducted awareness raising sessions in Al Ghab Plain, in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and in coordination with the medical point attached to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.

The sessions took place in Merdash School and Shathah Community Center “Beit Ward”, targeting children, adolescents, and women. The sessions covered preventive measures to protect yourself and others against the virus, how to play a role in limiting the spread of the disease, as well as explaining the differences between Influenza and Corona.

Concluding the sessions, the team distributed face masks and sterilizers to the beneficiaries.
